Four complementary themed tours to discover Crest, its history and heritage. Let us guide you through the streets of the town, from the Middle Ages to the present day. The numbered points indicate the places to discover and refer to the notices.

TOUR 1: Witnesses to history

This loop tour lets you stroll through Crest's history and heritage, discovering the charm of its old town center and its main historic monuments.
Recommended starting point: from the Tour de Crest exit (take the dirt track
right) or from Place de l'Eglise.

TOUR 2: Religious memories
Duration: approx. 1 h
Capuchins, Cordeliers, Ursulines, Visitandines, Protestant Temple...
Crest was a dynamic religious center in the Middle Ages and modern times. This thematic tour focuses on the town's religious past: churches, chapels, former convents and Christian iconography.

TOUR 3: Memories of water
Duration: approx. 1 h
From the River Drôme and its engineering structures to fountains and wash-houses, via ancient canal routes and the remains of the prehistoric sea, let yourself be inspired by this off-the-beaten-track themed tour.

TOUR 4: Protestant footprints
Duration: approx. 1 h
From the Place de la Liberté to the Tour de Crest, this stroll takes in the lives and history of some of Crest's most illustrious Protestants, as you stroll past their homes and buildings. Some of the town's street names also pay tribute to them.
