Vera Molnár's "Belle Marquise" art trail takes you through the center of Grignan in search of 6 metal plaques featuring variations on the famous phrase "marquise, vos beaux yeux me font mourir d'amour" ("marquise, your beautiful eyes make me die of love").

From the Place Sévigné, along the chemin de ronde via the montée du Château, discover the 6 metal plaques installed to commemorate the quadricentenary of the Marquise's birth.
5 variations are taken from tirades in Molière's "Bourgeois Gentilhomme", the 6th being a pure invention by Vera Molnár.
