The Berthalais Museum, a memory of life in bygone days, presents around one hundred machines, nearly 6000 tools and objects, showcased in a 700 m2 discovery area, bearing witness to the artisanal, industrial and agricultural history of the Drôme Valley.
Unique exhibition of agricultural, industrial and craft equipment: card factory, milling (thread processing), dyeing, boilermaking, shoemaking, printing, papermaking, joinery, wood turning.
A guardian of rurality, local craftsmanship and industrial heritage, this museum, created in a former 19th-century factory in the Gervanne Valley, arouses real interest for the diversification of the objects on display. It also perfectly illustrates the passion that drives the members of the association, who are constantly on the lookout for new items of particular interest to the collection, and capable of maintaining and operating all these machines.
Every year, many visitors come to discover the hundred or so machines and some 6000 tools and objects, from the smallest (a few grams) to the heaviest (several tons), displayed in a 700 m2 discovery area, relating to agriculture, crafts and industry.
