Is there more than one way into painting?
If so, Suzanne Driquert opens the subjective one. Many years of painting have given her an impressionist style. But one day, her personal path would lead her to other frontiers, far from the figurative... On closer inspection, not so far... Guided by her "good genius", on the steep path of transformation, she lets the work develop, a gush perceived and transmitted. An almost abstract art is born, where everything is a game of rupture and emergence. A new technique emerges: collages made from tissue paper, crumpled, covered in color, glued together. They challenge and challenge each other in the depths of a velvety fracture, or reveal a playful palette... Bursts of fiery or frosted color, shades and gradated halftones; transgressed colors come together. And with the artist, we capture fragments of a forgotten world. Each canvas is a state of the soul, fading in and out, transparencies, light or deep colors inhabiting the space, superimposed. Shimmering reflections and flamboyance reign. Only the colors take over the silk paper. The line sometimes accompanies, or sets, a flat surface, a volume, and here and there the real insinuates itself, infuses itself, diffuses itself. In Suzanne Driquert's world of colors, life circulates. "I accompany something beyond myself", she says...
