Departing from the village of Portes-en-Valdaine, the route quickly leaves the back roads for trails and a long ascent to the crests of the village of Aleyrac in the heart of the forest.
This loop mixes all types of terrain up to the Aleyrac crest, allowing you to immerse yourself in nature while discovering the village of La Bégude-de-Mazenc on the way down. The end of the route is fairly flat, with fields and small paths leading back to the starting village of Portes-en-Valdaine.
Parking information: departure from the village hall in Portes-en-Valdaine or from the market parking lot in La Bégude de Mazenc. If you wish to leave from Aleyrac, please park in the mairie, cemetery or waste sorting parking lots. Do not park on the access roads or minor roads along the D9, or you will be subject to impoundment.
