Le Up, Urban Park : Skatepark national & Pumptrack international

This world-class skate park covers 4,000m2 in the heart of the Colette Besson stadium.
Facilities open to children aged 8 and over (Skate park, bowl, Pumptrack, etc.).
Helmet and gloves compulsory.
BMX/trotinette rental available on site.

Not only does this urban sports hub promise to be one of the most remarkable in France (in terms of the sporting standard of its facilities and its openness to all kinds of board sports), it is also destined to take on an international dimension: it will welcome established athletes and international-level competitions in the years to come, while offering sports activities to Valentinois who love board sports (cycling, BMX, draisienne, skateboarding, scootering, rollerblading...).

This urban sliding center can accommodate experienced athletes and will be the venue for international competitions in the years to come.

THE SKATEPARK

The skatepark, run by the Roller'S association, covers 2,000 m² and comprises three sections separated by a tree-lined green corridor:
- a 490 m² street area with handrail (stair bar), curb incline (rectangular inclined module with two metal edges on each side) and manual pad (a platform raised off the ground for manuals, i.e. balancing on the two rear wheels, or front wheels, in which case it's a nose manual),
- a 607 m² flowpark with bowl, jumping table and sliding bar,
- a 972 m² bowl with three deep pits (1.7 m, 1.9 m and 2.7 m) combined with a BMX flat area.

THE PUMPTRACK

The 1,500 m² pumptrack is home to the Valence Chabeuil BMX Association (ranked 9th in France by the French Cycling Federation, and a club competing at international level), and is available to the Comité Départemental and Comité Régional as well as to a wide public (individuals, schools, universities, associations and socio-educational organizations) for sporting activities.

Comprising a course offering several trajectory or transfer variations and varying degrees of technical difficulty, pumptrack is enhanced by a flat wallride and a 180° wallride, enabling athletes to perform spectacular tricks.
