Le Grain de Faire : Cuir et métal
Leatherwork and blacksmithing
I'm a self-taught leather craftsman, which I've been practicing for five years now, with very specific methods and techniques that I think set me apart from other craftsmen. Blacksmithing is more recent, and I became interested in it after an apprenticeship with a blacksmith friend who passed on his passion to me. I make cutlery and various types of wrought-iron objects and jewelry. I wanted to combine these two passions into a single one, because they are linked by principle. The principle of starting from a raw material and shaping it as you wish, which is a great pleasure for me. I therefore enjoy mixing steel and leather whenever I get the chance. Hence the name "grain de faire": a subtle blend of skin grain and wrought iron.
