Le Cabanon de Serre-Long

Completely self-contained gîte on the edge of a wood and surrounded by vines. From the terrace, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and the hilltop village of Venterol.
Access to the gîte is via a dozen or so steps, and the spacious terrace features a pergola, garden furniture and barbecue.

Entrance via the kitchen, dining room (sofa/TV), living room with quality convertible sofa (1x140x190), bedroom with double bed (1x140x190) and reversible air-conditioning, shower room (shower, washbasin) and separate toilet. A second bedroom is accessible from outside the gîte (20m). It has a double bed (1x140x190).

The property is close to the D538 road between Valréas and Nyons. There is another apartment on the property, which can be occupied on an occasional basis.
If you'd like to cool off in summer, there's plenty to do in the surrounding area: the Pas des Ondes lake in Cornillon, the Aubres waterfall or the Vinsobres and Nyons aquatic complexes. You're at the gateway to the Baronnies Provençales Regional Nature Park, right in the heart of Nyons. The town of Nyons, just 5 km away, is famous for its typical Thursday market - plus a Sunday market in summer - ideal for sampling local flavors. The area is a gourmet's paradise: black olives, wines, juicy apricots, cherries and fragrant peaches are all on the menu.

Just 3 km from the gîte, the charming village of Venterol welcomes you to the heart of Drôme Provençale. This authentic little village, nestled in a sunny setting, is lulled by the song of the cicadas and scented with the scent of lavender. As you stroll through its narrow streets, you'll discover a temple and a church topped by a 17th-century campanile.

A 20-minute drive will take you to the Enclave des Papes and the famous town of Grignan. Don't miss a visit to its Renaissance château, perched on a rocky outcrop and once home to the Comtesse de Sévigné.
