This beautiful hike leads through the woods to a viewpoint frequented by chamois, on the edge of the vertiginous Grands Goulets cliffs.

The Révoulat lookout overlooks the Vernaison gorges from a dizzying height. You arrive at a belvedere with a fine view over the historic route des Grands Goulets. Bring your map: Promenades et randonnées en Vercors (Vercors Drôme) published by the PNRV. From the Croix du Chatelard, head for "Le Belvédère" along a track that leads to "Grand Serre", then "Revoulat" and "l'Aigue", before continuing along a pretty path to "Le Belvédère" (beware of children on the cliff edge); the return to the Croix du Chatelard is via "Rochers d'Echevis", "les Rochas" then "Grand Cros" and the hamlet of Les Revoux. From here, a final ascent in the shelter of boxwood groves leads back to the start of this magnificent walk. Two possible variants: one starting and finishing in the village of La Chapelle en Vercors, duration 4h30. The other starts and finishes at the "Croix du Châtelard" and takes 2h30.
