Description

Guest house with 5 bedrooms. First floor: two bedrooms, each with two single beds (2x90). Upstairs: three bedrooms, each with a double bed (1x160). All rooms are equipped with a small desk, storage unit, courtesy tray and fan. Each room has its own private bathroom with shower cubicle, washbasin and toilet. A microwave oven and refrigerator are also available. The swimming pool is open from May to September, weather permitting (heated, 6x4m, depth 1m5). Enclosed garden and terrace with gas plancha. On-site parking. The guest house is located in the countryside, surrounded by vineyards and 3.5kms from Suze La Rousse. The village is famous for its castle on a rocky promontory. Be sure to visit it during your stay. It is home to the Université du Vin, founded in 1978. An Ampelographic Garden, created in 1989, invites you to observe and discover different grape varieties. You can also visit the château and chapel in the village of Rochegude and the Cistercian Abbey of Bouchet (10min). Within a half-hour's drive, you can visit Grignan, home to the château of the Comtesse de Sévigné, the Provencal market in Nyons or Montélimar, where you can sample nougat. There are many hilltop villages in the vicinity. The region is famous for its olive groves, lavender fields and truffle oaks. Buis les Baronnies is 45 minutes from the gîte. This half-Alpine, half-Provençal region also offers a host of wonderful escapades (hiking, biking, climbing).
