La croix Blanche

Start: Col de l'Homme Mort, alt 1212 . 1. Turn left, parallel to the road, onto a forest track that descends through the deciduous trees. 2. At the crossroads, turn right at 90°. The path climbs slightly and passes to the right of a cultivated plot. In the middle a beautiful, partially collapsed borie. 3. At Croix Blanche (alt. 1230 m), continue straight on for 400 m. Start downhill, passing a breeze-block shed on the left. 4. At the fork in the road, take the right-hand path up to a red rock quarry. 5. At the track junction, take a slight right. 600 m further on, the track splits. 6. Fork right between 2 cultivated plots. Follow this path to the Chanaux farm. 7. With your back to the farm, turn right onto a well-marked track which descends through a beautiful forest with a wide variety of species (beech, oak, alder, etc.) and leads back to point 2. 2. Take a sharp left to return to the starting point.
