Description
The Marquis d'Arlandes, a friend of the Montgolfier brothers, wanted to make the first flight in a hot-air balloon. However, the King of France, Louis XVI, refused to authorize the flight. A shrewd strategist, the Marquis d'Arlandes tried again. The king agreed, but only on one condition: the Marquis had to pass a series of tests in Anneyron!
