Description

The small village of Gigors, an integral part of the Vercors Regional Natural Park, clings, at an altitude of 600 meters, to the slopes below the cliffs of Savel, offering one of the most beautiful views in the region.

From its main street, the view extends to the Plateau des Chaux, the Trois Becs, the cliffs of the Vercors, and, in the distance, the immense rock face of the Glandasse mountain.
Its very old church, founded in the 11th century and probably of Carolingian origin, stands on a hill a little away from the village, while the ruins of the old castle are still visible atop the cliffs.
