Espace Naturel sensible de Font d'Urle
Description
Grandiose, spectacular, wild - these are the words that come to mind when evoking the Font d'Urle mountain pasture.
A place of emotion, where we encounter the fear of heights, the face-to-face encounter with a marmot, the beauty of a laid stone.
It's also a fascinating geological site, home to the spectacular shapes created by the erosion of limestone by water, known as "karst": rock sculpted on the surface, crevasses, natural wells, caves, underground rivers...
Font d'Urle is also an alpine pasture where, for centuries, horses, cows and sheep have transhipped every summer.
Dogs are forbidden from May to October.
