Description

Along the way, you'll pass by white, holm and kermes oaks, broom, dry stone walls and old agricultural supports, with the scent of thyme and the colors of wild irises along the way.

Start from the main village parking lot, in front of the ramparts. Walk away from the village along the small path alongside the parking lot.
After 25 m, a children's playground is on your left. Descend to the right (caution: very uneven ground) towards the fitness trail and soccer pitch and continue eastwards, crossing them. Turn right onto the road that runs alongside a housing estate, and continue as far as a small wooded area on your right (book box, bench, fire hydrant), then turn right onto the small path still heading east. This path is to be shared with mountain bikers. Pass over the multi-purpose hall (located on the right at a small staircase) and continue straight ahead on the path between drystone walls.
At a fork with 3 possible paths, take the middle one and follow the stone walls. Further on, at the junction of 4 paths, turn right. The path leads to a larger dirt track, this time on the left. Watch out for tree stumps.
After about 500 m, you come to a wider track; turn right and go down to the D 472 road. Continue left for 300 m (caution: two-way road) and turn right onto a wide downhill path (beware of uneven ground), signposted in yellow PR8 at the "Parking Galerie Linard" marker post.
Option: Instead of turning right and heading downhill, you can continue straight ahead for 10 minutes to visit the Prieuré du Val des Nymphes. To resume your walk, simply retrace your steps.
This path runs alongside plantations of truffle oaks, then a large lavender field on the left with a view of the village of La Garde Adhémar.
Continue straight ahead on the path, passing over the "Petit Rieu" (a small, often dry stream) before the small wooden bench halfway along, until you reach a tarmac road in a residential area and a municipal notice board. Turn right to return to the village (take care to walk slowly, as the climb becomes steeper further on).
Cross the D572 and take Rue de la Basse Bourgade, then Rue du Porche (right) and a final climb to the right under an arcade. At the calvary (cross), there's a view of the Clansayes keep and Mont Ventoux just behind. From here, the first option is to visit the village via the path on the left (gentle ascent), or head for the car park via Rue Antoine Esterel.
towards the parking lot via Rue Antoine Escalin (a steeply rising street opposite the cross).
When you arrive at Place de la Loge, you can take advantage of Place Georges Perriod (grocery store, café, restaurant, pétanque court) on the left, or turn right to return to the Montjars parking lot.
