A village of character, this place is a true testament to local history. Discover a unique heritage, centered on utilitarian glazed earthenware pottery, which has supported its inhabitants for centuries. A visit full of charm
Here is a village where you’ll be welcomed by a set of panels recounting its story : the one of potter-farmers, who watered-down clay that was extracted nearby to throw it during winter and make all the useful containers, from the milking to the curdling of milk, the washing and the cooking of the vegetable garden’s products, to water pipes and tiles. At the beginning of the 20th century, a man grouped the various professions until then separated under the same roof : it’s the Traditional Glazed Clay Fabric born in 1902, that you can discover today!
