Enchantingly varied, the many horse-riding trails in the Drôme cover both wild and cultivated terrain.
The fantastic windswept karst plateaux of the Vercors, the gentle sandy trails in the Drôme des Collines, the lavender-perfumed hills and olive groves in Drôme Provençal or the rivers of the Diois are all invitations for riders and horses yearning for the great outdoors.
Particularly adapted to horse riding for leisure, the Drôme is not only a place to go out for a ride. It is also worth discovering various other activities such as ski-joering in winter, driving, pony camps, endurance, TREC, ethological or western approaches… a whole range of riding activities products adapted to each person’s needs by professionals who are proud to show people the country which feeds their horses.
The Drôme à Cheval groups together most of the horse riding tourism professionals and stopover accommodation points where riders can stay with their mounts. The association has also set up and marked a network of trails totalling 2 500 kms. It supplies all the information and documents which you may require as well as the annual programme for treks and riding lessons and courses for children and adults organised throughout the year.
