	TOURISM FOR CYCLISTS
	The Drôme department has defined a network of over 2 000 kms of recommended routes for cyclists and has set up specific signposting called “la Drôme à Vélo” (Cycling in the Drôme).
	The CYCLOCARTE (Cycling map), co edited by the General Council of the Drôme and the IGN, provides the bicycle tourist with the complete network of routes to create a personal itinerary. The map also suggests a selection of 18 circuits to discover the most beautiful sites and landscapes of the Drôme. The map can be found in the usual retail outlets.
	AN AMBITIOUS PROJECT
	A 670 km CYCLING ITINERARY / GREEN ROUTE will link Lake Leman to the Mediterranean coast via the Rhône valley. The Drôme is situated halfway along the route and will propose cycling excursions off the main itinerary which passes along the ancient towpaths so that the bicycle tourist may discover the hinterland of minor valleys.
	ALONG THE RIVER
	The first cycling route is called “along the river” and is 130 kms long (recommended for VTC or country bikes). It is a marvellous way to discover the Drôme valley along its river from the source in Bâtie-des-Fonts to the confluence with the Rhône in Livron.
