Lavender is considered a cultural symbol for Provence thanks to its palette of colours, its perfume but also and especially for its properties. The history of lavender, of the former “baïassières” to today’s meticulous cultivation, punctuates the seasons and the lives of the people of this region while constituting a heritage which still holds riches to explore.
