FRUITS

PEACHES, NECTARINES, BRUGNONS : Juicy and soft as velvet, peaches are wonderful thirst quenchers. They have a low calorie count and contain mineral salts which are good for your health. The Drôme is a one of the first producers in France thanks to the department’s climate and cultivators’ know-how.

APRICOTS: The Bergeron variety is grown in the north of the département and the Orange de Provence in the south. Both are rich in mineral salts. Allow yourself to be tempted by this firm and highly coloured fruit with its delicious smell and juicy taste of summer in the Drôme.

PEARS, APPLES, KIWI FRUIT, WALNUTS AND RED FRUITS are also produced in the Drôme.

MELON FROM MONTOISON:
we have heard of the Cavaillon melon, but its cousin from the Drôme is also well worth a mention: its sweet aroma and taste embody typical flavours from the south.

WALNUTS FROM GRENOBLE: the Origine Contrôlée Appelation is limited to 3 departments in the Rhone-Alps area, including the Drôme. This walnut’s fine flavour comes from its sweet and delicate light-coloured kernel. It also has undeniable dietetic qualities and can be used preventively for cardio-vascular illnesses.
